Alec has a broad practice that spans a diverse range of sectors, with a particular focus on high-profile corporate litigation and sports law cases. Alec's experience includes acting for blue-chip ASX and FTSE listed clients, providing strategic advice on cross-border disputes and investigations. His international practice is marked by his ability to navigate concurrent litigation across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with differing legal regimes.
More recently, Alec's work in the sports and entertainment sector has involved acting for a FTSE 100 company in a post M&A dispute and representing a coalition of athlete management agencies in a landmark competition law case against FIFA, which resulted in significant regulatory changes.
Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Alec was a Senior Associate with Allens in Australia.

- Acting for an ASX listed company in a claim brought against its joint venture participants seeking the recovery of the Joint Venture Participants’ portion of overriding royalties (USD $60m) payable to a third party arising out of a Texan arbitration award in favour of the third party.
- Acting for QSuper (now part of the Australian Retirement Trust) and related entities in an action before the Supreme Court of Queensland seeking the recovery of funds defrauded by a former QSuper employee.
- Acting for a Government Owned Corporation in connection with commercial proceedings arising from the collision by a helicopter with critical infrastructure.
- Assisting an ASX listed company in connection to an investigation by ASIC in relation to suspected contraventions of civil penalty provisions and criminal conduct in respect of continuous disclosure obligations, provision of potentially false information to the ASX and breach of directors duties.
