Oscar is a lawyer who likes computers and understanding how things are put together. He specialises in the law of information, encompassing data, security, and Internet regulation.

Oscar enjoys advising clients on navigating information law in the most efficient manner, helping clients develop practical, commercial positions in both private and public contexts. He regularly represents clients in engagements with the authorities involving complex issues at the interface of technology and law, such as the new laws of the Internet (Digital Services Act, Online Safety Act) and in data, security, and product regulation (GDPR, CRA, AI Act).

Oscar has a particularly technical background and is often a go-to advisor for novel issues, such as in the regulation of Internet intermediaries, AI product development, and digital sovereignty. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and CISM certified, and a member of the Royal Statistical Society AI Task Force.

Oscar also supports clients in commercial and technology transactions. Prior to joining the Tech practice, he was a litigator, having successfully represented many clients in high-value, "bet-the-company" disputes before the English courts and in arbitration under LCIA, ICC and HKIAC rules
